Where can I play Spy-Inc?
We will soon have games in almost all major UK cities and abroad and are developing new games all the time. Or we can design a bespoke game that the entire company can play over a period of time that will meet your own specific HR and training objectives.

How do I play?
To play you simply register all players with a Spy Inc licence (our legal form to play), pay and then log in at www.spy-inc.com with your top-secret mission code. But beware, the moment you log in the clock is ticking!

How many people are in a team?
Generally we find teams of 5-6 are very effective, but you can have multiple teams taking part and they have to avoid being seen by the opposition, which makes it great fun.

How long does it take?
Most games are designed to take 5–6 hours but can be completed in 4–5 hours. So they allow for travel between objectives and time for a working lunch. But we can build missions to last any length of time.

Is it physically challenging?
There is some running about, but if you plan, communicate and delegate tasks you’ll be more efficient as a team and there will be a role for everyone.

Can I use it as a company development tool?
Absolutely. We can design a game based on your own specific training needs, HR objectives or recruitment requirements. We are building games for training, leadership and induction courses for clients.

How can I measure performance?
You can play Spy Inc for fun, or use it to measure a team’s development performance with our online facilitation service. Each step of the mission will be explained, what aspect of the team’s performance we are trying to measure and what performance behaviour to look out for. These notes can then form the basis for future team development workshops.

Can you provide a facilitator to measure my teams performance?
Most companies investing their money want some kind of return and we offer a full facilitation and even a video review service which can form the basis of more detailed team performance workshops on day 2.

How can my team improve its performance?
The key to completing any task is adequate planning, delegation and time management. SPY Inc has been designed to incorporate all of these aspects into the day.

What will my team get out of the day?
A great deal. Your team will benefit from working together towards a common objective (outside of the workplace). They will have to analyse information, plan, communicate and delegate. By sharing their knowledge, skills, displaying initiative and resourcefulness and by working together they will discover just how effective they can be as a team. When other teams are competing as well there’s the added incentive of competition and the desire to get the mission completed quickly, but more importantly correctly.

What additional costs are involved?
Apart from the fee for each player, just some basic equipment to complete the mission (no more than £20 per team (€32) and lunch. You may want to celebrate the team’s success by taking them for dinner or karting etc. so the event has been designed, in terms of costs, to accommodate this.

What other applications are there to the game?
There's lots! Any event or activity that requires multiple teams or individuals to train and develop in designated time frames can benefit. Spy Inc is flexible and creative and has many applications. Games can be used as an icebreaker between delegates at a conference, as a corporate team-build day, as part of a training and development programme, or designed to drive delegate traffic around an exhibition floor in the form of a competition.
A SPY Inc game can complement any team-building activity day. It can foster competition, communication and teamwork within a company or organisation. Its most obvious application is as a cost-effective team build day which is easy to maintain and easy to manage, but with a little imagination it can do a lot more!
